NOTE! The match has been cancelled.

Tomorrow, Saturday 15 February 2025, AB Gladsaxe will try to build on the great training results with three wins in a row. This time it is FA 2000 who will welcome the AB team at 14.00 at Frederiksberg Stadium, Sønderjyllands Alle 6.

AB comes to the match with last week’s fine result 3-1 against Næstved BK in the luggage.

FA 2000 plays in the 3rd division and spends the winter in 9th place. In last week’s training match, there was a 3-1 defeat to Ringsted.

FA 2000 and AB have over the years played some exciting and close matches against each other. The most recent clash was a friendly match in July 2024. However, that match was not so exciting, because AB sat on the game and won 3-0. It was a showdown where the weather gods really took hold and sent a massive rain down over the Forest Dike. AB’s goal was scored on that occasion by Søren Ilsøe and O’Vonte Mullings, and the third goal was an FA 2000 own goal.

Head coach Joey Gudjonsson is looking forward to the match, which will provide good opportunities to look at his own game.

“Tomorrow against FA 2000 we will have another test where we can focus on what we want to do. We get a game against a team that probably plays 5-3-2, and so do some of the teams in the 2nd division, so it’s good training for us.

It is a great opportunity for us to continue the preparations towards the start of the season. Even though FA 2000 is playing a number below us, those games are always difficult when everyone expects us to win. It is a good test for us that we are also mentally ready when we play against a team that plays a row below us. The requirement for three points is not there as if it had been a tournament match, but we have to be ready also mentally so that we maintain focus through the entire 90 minutes.

We will make a lot of changes and play almost with two teams during the match. It’s one of the last games where we can have complete focus on ourselves and on what we can get out of the game. From next week, we would like to start preparations for the first match of the spring season.

We last played against a physically good team from Næstved. We did a lot of good things, and the players may have been a bit tired afterwards, so we have taken the training a little more calmly this week. So the players are fresh and it will be an interesting game – and I hope the sun will shine again tomorrow.”
