AB Gladsaxe plays on Saturday 13 July 2024 at 12:00 against FA 2000 at the facility at Skovdiget.

After a well-deserved holiday, the players have returned and have trained for a week. The first training match will primarily be spent on as many players as possible getting into the match.

It will be exciting to see some of the players who have joined over the summer. They are goalkeeper Marcus Bobjerg and striker Marco Ramkilde, and as can be seen in the squad below, Ilias Namli is back after the spring’s loan deal in the FA 2000.

FA2000 and AB usually play some exciting and close matches, so it is a competent opponent AB will have to face in the first training match. Unfortunately for FA2000, they were the buck in last season’s incredibly close relegation game and will therefore have to play in the 3rd division in the coming season.

After today’s coach, head coach Joey Gudjonsson says: “It feels good to be back after the holidays. It’s good to get back to work again and to see the players. We have done a lot of tests, and the players have generally returned in very good shape. We have to work hard again in the first two weeks, because there is always something we can work on and get better at.

The squad looks good and I’m very happy with the latest approaches. Marcus Bobjerg as goalkeeper and Marco Ramkilde as a striker. They have been really good at training, they have lots of experience and they have fit well into the squad. We have also been joined by midfielder Ægir Jónasson, who comes from the top flight in Iceland. He is a very good player and a nice addition to the squad.

Ilias Namli has come back, and it has also been good to see him in training.

The training match on Saturday will be divided into two, because I want to play with two teams. We’ve been working hard this week and the stakes have been quite high, so I don’t expect there to be players playing more than 45 minutes.”
